This latest iteration of Sound Devices’ transmitters is well-suited for challenging location sound at live performances of any size or scope. The Astral Mini Plus was created with the most demanding production conditions in mind, and features quality-of-life upgrades to maintain ease of use.
The XL-B14500 rechargeable battery cell runs for up to 8 hours, and can be topped off easily via USB-C when needed. Keeping global projects in mind, the Mini Plus utilizes Sound Devices’ SpectraBand extended tuning range, providing the user with clean, usable, and legal frequency bandwidth anywhere in the world, making location changes on live tours simple. Sound Devices’ GainForward enables simplified gain-staging without touching a transmitter and maintains the highest-quality audio without clipping. And with 1P67 water resistance, the Mini Plus is sweat- and humidity-resistant.
