IBC 2018: Philip Hodgetts’ Journal, Day 4 – GrayMeta, Premiere Pro, Aurus Mixing Console
9SEPTEMBER 17, 2018, Special report to USTimes.biz by Technologist, Philip Hodgetts, Pt. 4)
Because it was the last day of IBC, we didn’t have a lot more that we wanted to see.
Fortunately, we were able to catch a demo of how GrayMeta metadata extraction works with the Premiere Pro panel.
The media and AI extraction has to be done through the Gray Meta system before coming into the panel in Premiere Pro, but it will create better metadata extraction opportunities for those users.
Our regular pass-through, Hall 8, took his by a lot of amazing audio console’s.
This is just one that I thought was especially pretty. (Editor’s Note: The Aurus Mixing Console pictured here was first developed in 2002 and was Stage Tec’s flagship product. It is still known for the fact that it allows direct access to the most critical parameters, making it, according to Aurus, “A digital console with an analog surface.”)
The rest of our final day at IBC was spent in meetings with customers and with others. Look for further information on IBC 2018 from Philip Hodgetts on his tech blog and on USTimes.biz in the very near future.
