NAB 2016: Telestream – Lightspeed Live and Facebook Streaming
Mark Wronski, VP of Americas Sales, Enterprise Products at Telestream recently announced the release of Lightstream Live. Attendees of the 2016 NAB can preview the product in Booth SL4525.
If you are familiar with Wirecast, the addition of Lightstream Live to your arsenal of production streaming tools will be simple and combined with the Lightstream Live Capture product should make life easier.
The company also announced they are the first 3rd party vendor to officially align with Facebook to provide live streaming directly to the social media giant’s pages. Watch a tutorial from Andrew Haley here.
The Facebook solution allows users to track active watchers, view real-time comments, and archive the video for viewing offline at a later date.
System requirement for Mac OSX are 10.9 or above, Intel “Sandy Bridge” chips or higher, 2GB RAM minimum with 4GB recommended, a Flash streaming server, 512 MB PCI-Express graphics card with 3D acceleration, and upload speed at least twice the bandwidth of the total bitrate of the stream.
On the PC side, requirements include Windows 7 32 & 64-bit and above, iOS8, Intel “Sandy Bridge” chips, same ram, graphics card and upload speed as Mac users.
