Sennheiser Closing Brick & Mortar Stores Maintaining Strong Online Presence

On November 12, 2020, Sennheiser announced that it would be closing its stores in Berlin, Sydney, San Francisco, Mexico City, Seoul, and Singapore in the near future.

It’s just another sign of the times.

But if you are a Sennheiser fan, do not despair. The online presence is as strong as ever.

US Times will be highlighting products from Sennheiser for you as we approach the 2020 holiday season.

“We opened the stores at selected locations in order to enable our customers to experience the world of the Sennheiser brand, in addition to selling products. Accordingly, we have used the stores for events, training sessions and customer events,” said Andrew Cooper, Director Global Sales at Sennheiser. “Regrettably, using the stores in this way to represent the brand has been extremely limited for several months due to the Covid-19 pandemic and will continue to be difficult to depend on in the future.”

“In addition, this step is also a response to changing consumer behavior; product sales are shifting more and more to online channels – this applies both to the sales platforms of our retail partners and to the Sennheiser web shop,” added Andrew Cooper. Against this background, the stores are also losing their importance as a sales channel for the audio specialist. “Ultimately, it’s all about investing and being present where our customers are.”

Sad to see the stores go, as we always enjoyed experiencing the products in person, but we know life goes on and quality lives forever.
