An Opportunity for Students: NAB Leadership Foundation Hosts Technology Career Mixer at 2026 NAB Show
(Special to the USTimes, Washington D.C., 2026-04-06) The NAB Leadership Foundation and NAB PILOT is hosting a mixer for students to meet with industry recruiters at the 2026 NAB show to network and explore career paths.
College students and recent graduates from the Technology Apprenticeship Program (TAP) and the NextGen TV Fellowship will be in attendance. These programs provide training, mentorship, and industry exposure in broadcast engineering and technology, and the television broadcast industry respectively.
“The foundation’s TAP students along with the NextGen fellows represent the next generation of technically trained individuals who are embracing innovation and shaping the future of broadcasting,” said Michelle Duke, president of the NAB Leadership Foundation.
The Student Media Collective encourages students to attend, “We support all those interested in the intertwining of technology and creativity, and this is an opportunity to network and meet others who are interested in a broadcasting and technology track.” said Cirina Catania, Founder and Executive Director of SMC.
Mark your calendars: The mixer will be on April 18, 5-6:30 p.m., in the North Hall, Room N225/226 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
In regard to recruiters interested in the event, Michelle Duke, NAB Leadership Foundation President and Chief Impact Officer said: “We strongly encourage hiring managers to join us for this mixer to engage with our participants and be the first to set up potential interviews.”
Organizations can attend for a fee, which includes space to display materials and a student roster with resumes. Space is limited, so recruiters are encouraged to contact Tim Dotson at tdotson@nab.org to reserve their space early.
The 2026 NAB show will be at the Las Vegas Convention Center from April 18-22 (exhibits April 19-22).
